Definition

n. Armchairs with an upholstered frame and projecting wings for protection against drafts.This is the name given, from the Baroque period onwards to comfortable armchairs resulting from the evolution of the lounge chair. They are available with adjustable backrest and footrest. They are usually upholstered up to the armrests and sometimes have separate cushions or pillows.
