Barcelona divan

Definition

This divan was designed by Mies Van der Rohe in 1930. It is an evolution of the Barcelona chair. The steel structure and frame of leather straps are topped with two tufted leather cushions. Its exact function is also unknown: divan, daybed, lounger, chaise longue. Currently manufactured by the Knoll company.
