- Thick paper or very thin, flexible paperboard, which is heavier than paper but lighter than stiff paperboard (usually between 150 and 450 grams per square metre). The paperboard may have one or more layers of mechanical pulp or recycled paper and is usually filled with fillers. There is a wide variety of paperboard, according to its composition, colour, finish and use.
