Sectional sofa
Definition
- A sectional is a mainstay of modern interiors which was designed not only for comfort but for flexibility. Thanks to thousands of configurations due to its interdependent, individual components, the style can be customised to suit any space. It consists of at least two sections, a sectional sofas elements are placed together to elongate and wrap around a corner usually with a minimum of a 90 degree join. Chaise longs and closed-end pieces can also be included to keep the design self-contained. A barely-there structure are one of the sofas defining feature. Sectionals may include one or more power recline seats amongst stationary seats. Sectionals come in versatile configurations to suit different room layouts and preferences. Durint the second half of the 20th century, more advanced conveniences have been added such as built-in cupholders and storage, power reclining seats, built-in refrigeration drawers and other innovations.
