Definition
- The Grasshopper Chair name comes from its curved bentwood arms and legs that reminds a grasshoppers hind legs. His designer was Eero Saarinen. The seat was meant for relaxing and leaning back to read or decompress after a long days work. The bent laminated wood frame was a material that had been used for aviation during WWII , once the war was over, it was adapted for furniture manufacturing. It has a laminated birch frame with fabric upholstery.
