Definition

A parapet composed of balusters of wood, iron, bronze or other material, and the railings that support them. They are commonly used for balconies, staircase handrails and room dividers. When it comes to furniture, a decorative finishing element, consisting of balusters or poles and a handrail that joins them together at the top.
