Definition

It refers to a set of techniques used in the manufacture and decoration of ceramic objects. Nowadays, the terms 'ceramic technology' or 'industrial ceramics' usually refer to the manufacture of advanced ceramics, i.e. ceramics that combine the characteristics of traditional ceramics with technological improvements that increase their thermal resistance and hardness.
