Bathtubs

Definición

  • A deep, elongated vessel with enough space for a person to bathe lying or sitting in it. They were initially filled with other containers until the mid-19th century, in Spain, when those that were filled with a water heater in the form of a cooker appeared. They were made of different materials and shapes: strapped barrel, marble or other excavated lithic material, and varnished metal. At the end of the 19th century, baths began to be filled with hot and cold water from pipes, a system that arrived in Spain around 1900.
