Tuxedo
Definición
- The Tuxedo sofa is known for its boxy, geometric shape. It is an overstuffed sofa with upholstered arms, either straight or curving slightly outward, at the same height as the back. It originates from the late 1920s and its name, like the suit, derives from Tuxedo Park in New York. It is a product of the 20s New York Modernism. The arms are the same height as the back, and the overall effect is immaculate and modern. The arms and back are levels, and the angular shape encourages an upright sitting position. However, its comfortable thanks to the smooth, fiber-padded bench-style seat cushion. Characterized by clean lines, the style is one of the slickest you could choose and instead of drawing attention due to elaborate features, it draws attention thanks to its strong visual aesthetic.
