Sewing table
Definición
- Small worktable with a solid base (square, rectangular or other) resting on high or low legs, usually with drawers or a top cover, and often with a cloth bag for sewing material. Sewing tables appeared in Spain in the second half of the 16th century, in the form of compartmentalized boxes on a single foot. In the rest of Europe, they are mentioned in 17th-century inventories, but are not common until the mid-18th century, after which they appear abundantly.
